What the basis means
- Texas license: the company holds a Texas lending license from the OCCC, and Texas's rate caps apply to its loans.
- Credit Services Organization registration: the company is registered to arrange or help you obtain credit; the credit itself may come from someone else.
- Partner bank: a bank makes the loan and the app or website markets and services it. Bank loans can follow the bank's home-state rules instead of Texas's caps.
- National bank: a federally chartered bank; it does not need a state license.
